Nancy L. McGinnis has been singing since she was nine years old. Later at about ten she began taking piano lessons, then went on to the drums, her favorite instrument. Nancy began writing music when she was about 19. Since then Nancy has written countless numbers of songs. She now works in her home studio creating music, performing at a variety of venues, and being a studio musician for hire. She was born in San Jose, California. Considered a Pop-Alternative Artist by many, she writes all kinds of songs in many venues. Nancy is a member of ASCAP and a voting member of the Recording Academy, who produce the Grammy Awards. Nancy recently won an ASCAP ANNUAL AWARD for her CD 'SEEK TO FOLLOW', in the Jazz Popular Area. Nancy is also nominated for Best Female Popular Vocal Performance and Producer Bruce Tambling of the Year. Thank you Recording Academy and ASCAP for recognizing Nancy and Bruce's special musical talents. Nancy's newest CD, #12, features her song THE LITTLE THINGS, redone and mixed for this special compilation. For sometime, Nancy has wanted to move from her own material to songs that she has grown to love through the years. Somos Novios, which Nancy has performed since she was 12, is a special interest song featuring her Spanish-speaking skills. Also, in celebration of the music of Amy Winehouse, Nancy's rendition of LOVE IS A LOSING GAME is of particular note.
